Spaghetti Col Buco Italian Pasta di Gragnano Organic

Spaghetti Col Buco Italian Pasta di Gragnano Organic is a durum wheat pasta. Tasty pasta even for the most demanding palates brings unique and characteristic flavors to the table. The least digestible part of the fiber is removed from the cereal but the most nutritious components remain intact.

General characteristics

Spaghetti Col Buco Italian Pasta di Gragnano Organic is a type of durum wheat pasta, with a narrow and long shape, similar to twine.

Typical of Italian cuisine, they are famous and renowned throughout the world, to the point of being a flag, become the commonplace par excellence also in the definition of the culture.

Ingredients and nutritional values

Pasta is about 70% carbohydrates in the form of starch. Among the minerals predominate phosphorus, iron, and magnesium. Pasta, on the other hand, provides little vegetable protein and fat.

Type / Variety

In Italy, the production of spaghetti industrially takes place and produces qualities that differ in thickness. The thickness of the spaghetti is referred to by a number, which varies according to the production company.

The surface is generally smooth, but there is also striped spaghetti, obtained with bronze drawing. The length of the spaghetti is standard: a time of 50 cm is now reduced to 25 cm.

Use in the kitchen

Spaghetti Col Buco Italian Pasta di Gragnano Organic, like all durum wheat pasta varieties, is eaten after cooking, which takes place in boiling salted water.

The pasta water should be salted generously. But it does not require the addition of oil to keep the pasta supple. To prevent the pasta from sticking together, the cooking pasta should rather be stirred sufficiently.

Spaghetti Col Buco Italian Pasta di Gragnano Organic is often used in soups. In Italy they are prepared with different seasonings: the most common is spaghetti with tomato, seasoned simply with sauce and parmesan or the classic garlic, oil, and chili.

Pasta not only taste good, but they are also considered important energy suppliers. So they have above all carbohydrates. The most important ingredient of pasta is the carbohydrate starch. Through this, the human body receives rapidly needed energy. The carbohydrates also provide a lasting feeling of fullness. Especially in endurance athletes, pasta is therefore very popular.

This pasta is so appreciated that it is often also used for sauces that traditionally require other forms: the Roman puttanesca, with black olives, tomato, and capers, or the celeberrima carbonara, with eggs and pancetta.

In Italy, spaghetti cooking is essential: the pasta must be freshly drained. It should also be eaten rolled up with a fork: the use of a spoon to help yourself, as well as the idea of cutting pasta with a knife, is unacceptable.

Preservation method

Spaghetti can be kept in dry places in closed containers. This is a dry, airy place at room temperature, preferably not near other, strongly smelling foods. The attractive pasta glass on the kitchen cupboard is rather unsuitable for storage. For by light influence suffer vitamin content, color, and taste of the pasta. Pasta can be optimally stored for about three years without taste and quality loss.

Organic Spaghetti Buco Pastai Gragnanesi  I.G.P. (Protected Geographical Indication). The Italian Pasta di Gragnano is chewier, nuttier and rougher textured than most supermarket brands. In Italy, pasta is a "sacramental" object which its serving is regulated by steadfast traditions. Pasta is fed to infants as soon as they are able to take in solids, and in Italian households, its place as the first dish at lunch or dinner is virtually a law.

Cooperativa Pastai Gragnanesi IGP

The Pasta di Gragnano should be cooked "al dente", which means only to the point at which the pasta is still firm, then added to the sauce where it will cook a little more. Afterwards, it is served right off the stove.
